Floyd "Huston" Huddleston is an American writer and director, best known for his attempts to secure funding for the Hollywood Sci-Fi Museum in 2012 and the Hollywood Horror Museum in 2015. As of 2024 the Hollywood Sci-Fi Museum, also known as the Sci-Fi World Museum, failed to open due to a failure to bring the building to code. The museum did host an opening gala which was held in a parking lot for which tickets cost upwards of 500 dollars. The museum has also failed to open due to the alleged continued involvement of Huston Huddleston. Former museum CEO John Purdy revealed he resigned due to breach of contract by Huston, who retained his title and role as President of the museum foundation, despite many claims that he had resigned following his conviction in 2018 for possession of child pornography.[1] and "Six Chicks and a Dead Guy".[2]
Biography[edit]
Huston is the son of Floyd Huddleston, an Oscar nominated songwriter, screenwriter, and television producer, and Nancy Adams, a singer.[3]
Huddleston wrote and directed "Six Chicks and a Dead Guy".[2]
He co-wrote the second episode of the fan-made web series Star Trek Continues entitled "Lolani".[4]
He is also the founder and President of The Hollywood Science Fiction Foundation,[5] and the Hollywood Horror Foundation.[6]
Legal issues[edit]
Huston was arrested on April 24, 2018, and charged with possession of child pornography and other crimes, including contacting a minor with intent to commit a felony.[7] He was held at the Pitchess Detention Center North Facility on $750,000 bail and pleaded not guilty on May 22, 2018.[8] His court date was June 12, 2018.[7][6] On June 21, Huddleston pled guilty to one misdemeanor charge of possessing child pornography.[9]
